The homestead.
Sorry for you - dinner's inside tonight.
But I'm still the favourite right?
OK kids, who wants feeding first?

Local fauna. (if you're worried about snakes you're not looking up enough)

My room. It's blue cos I'm a boy, get it?
Good fences .. so the neighbours are good .. or will be .. when we get some that is.
Amazing what can be achieved with hard work and a bit of rain.

Aaron's 1st Birthday!!!

Dear all,

Lets face it, the first birthday party is not for the poo machine but for the parents.
I know he gets a number of fantastically expensive pressies from wonderful aunts and uncles which he joyfully discards in favour of the box it arrived in.

But we, the sleep deprived zombie parents with fried nasal passages have survived the first year.
We will look back on many highs and one or two lows.  The time he cried all the way back from the blue mountains, the time he pooed on me in the bath (I know, too much information!), the time he didn't sleep for 6 weeks- ouch!

But there was also the moment he was born... the time he looked up from his cot and recognised these two strange people that had been feeding him, the time he put his little arms out and gave us a hug.. (Very cool) and then there was this morning, the pinnacle of his life thus far... he climbed up the stairs, walked into the bathroom, picked up the latest edition of two wheels, brought it back down to me where he sat on my lap for 10 minutes (equates to about 6 days for Aaron) and gleefully looked at pictures of motorbikes making Broom broom sounds.

There will be much rejoicing and cavorting:

Where: Centennial Park - Next to the dome in the dog friendly area
Time: 11am - this is more of a guideline because I am 97.8% sure we will be late
What to bring: Dogs if you have any.  Ruthie is preparing some cupcakes and sausage rolls.
I will get some soft drinks. So just additional food stuffs and grog.

Ruthie  - Please forward to Norbs
Cat - Please froward to the lovely Lou
People out of town or out of the hemisphere - I know you can't make it but it didn't seem right not to invite you anyway.

Hope to see you all there :)
Cal

Rob: I know they all look the same, but Aaron is the one standing up. The other one is loitering with intent (if you've ever changed a nappy you know the kind of intent)

I'm afraid it won't do

this one neither

maybe this one?

nope...

are you kidding me?!

this one's got potential...

on second thoughts...

There it is!

just like daddy says, grab the ears and go like the clappers

Man, this is one sweet ride.
Camouflage 101 - am I blending into the foliage in this tigger suit?
